it’s a problem when you don’t even know what to say about your own painting

And obviously I had to ask myself why I feel this way? 

After…honestly not that much thinking, the answer was clear. While the painting is of me, of an experience I had, it is not from me. What I mean by that is my intentions when I was actually working on

it didn’t come from an intuitive, pure place. It was planned.

No it was more than planned.

It was planned with the intentions of being not just one of the

6 paintings I was taking to art Basel Miami, but the biggest, best, and most expensive piece

I would take…and sell.

Greed, fame, and exploitation are the three words that come to mind when I think about my intentions behind

This painting and that is not how I want to represent myself nor my art to the public. I also don’t want this painting to be hijacked by ideas of greed, fame, and exploitation.

All this to say…I am no longer showing this piece at Art Basel Miami 2024. Instead I will be selling prints right here on the website and maybe one day, with purer intentions, try to show and sell the actual painting.
